A great way to experience meditation for the first time!
A weekly meditation that includes instruction and inspiration for new meditators or those who want to learn about traditional yoga meditation as it was taught by Paramhansa Yogananda.
Rather than being a meditation class, this is more of a meditation experience. We offer meditation courses also, but this evening is a chance to feel what meditation is like, even for those who don’t know how to meditate at all.
Practice varies, but will often include Paramhansa Yogananda’s energization exercises or gentle movement and stretching to facilitate relaxation. We’ll offer some basic meditation instruction for beginners followed by silent meditation.
We will also speak about some specific ways we can root out those things which take our happiness away and introduce a few ideas to help keep life moving in a positive direction. There will be time for questions.
No experience is needed. Everyone is welcome.
For in depth training we offer complete meditation courses.
We have comfortable chairs, meditation benches, cushions and other props for sitting. You’ll be with a nice group of friendly people!
Meditation is both an art and a science. We’ve helped many people who believed they could not meditate. Now they actually love it and it’s been instrumental in improving their lives.
Best not to eat before class, shoes come off when you’re inside.
