In practice since 1980, Dr. Michael Hopkins opened his dental office 25 years ago, and associate dentist Dr. Barbara Kane joined the team in October 2011. The practice is committed to the highest level of quality dental care coupled with a very comfortable beach vibe—where patients’ total health and well-being is a top priority. The team shows their dedication to excellence by participating in extensive continuing education programs and investing in the most advanced dental materials and technology.

“Operation Gratitude is an organization that sends care packages to U.S. service members deployed in hostile regions, to their children, and to veterans, first responders, Wounded Warriors and their caregivers. Their mission is to lift morale and express to our Armed Forces the appreciation and support of the American people. This year, Operation Gratitude volunteers will have shipped more than one million packages!”
How did you choose to support Operation Gratitude?
“Dr. Hopkins’ father was a West Point graduate and an Air Force veteran. He instilled in his family a strong sense of patriotism and loyalty to the troops. Our office supports Operation Gratitude by hosting an annual Halloween candy donation—collecting unwanted, unopened Halloween candy the week following Halloween. Since we started the event three years ago, we have sent more than one ton of candy and more than 400 hygiene kits. We also collect letters and pictures of appreciation from the children and send it with our donations.”
In what ways do you encourage your employees to support worthy organizations in our community?
“Many of our co-workers participate in 5Ks and 10Ks. Most recently our office participated in the Revlon Run/Walk 5K in support of cancer research. We also helped one of our patients by donating to Ride 2 Recovery, which benefits rehabilitation programs for wounded veterans.”

“Solace for the Children—donating dental care to children of war-torn countries is such a rewarding feeling. Seeing their faces light up with gratitude as they enter a dental office for the first time in their entire lives makes us feel so blessed to be able to help them.a
