Starting with a small alcove, Southbay editor Darren Elms turns a limited space into a functional office for working from home. Mixing a red desk discovered at a second-hand store with a modern Aeron chair and hanging a row of framed wrapping paper sheets (cheap & easy), a boring corner gets function, flair and a needed pop of color.
- “A thick piece of glass cut for the top of my desk allows me to view favorite images and notes.”
- “I love books and lay them out wherever there’s empty space. It’s hard to choose which ones to display.”
- “The vintage film projector reminds me of my LA roots and the Quixote figurine was a gift from my mentor.”
