Salt Creek Grille was founded in 1996 by partners Tim McCune and Pete Truxaw, who envisioned a classic American grille serving fabulous food, distinctive wines and a casual warm ambiance—”the place to go.” Opened in 2007, the El Segundo location is an upscale yet casual dinner-house with a staff of 80, managed by Pallava Goenka. Pallava started his career by default in the industry working for McDonald’s as a management trainee and loved every aspect of the business. He went on to earn his masters of business in hospitality management and worked at properties around the world, from hotel, resort and casino fine dining operations to
casual ones.

Tell us a bit about your executive chef.

“New Executive Chef Joseph Gotti uses fresh, seasonal, local ingredients and makes frequent stops at the local farmers market. Recently he’s been exploring the world of cheese to pair with our award-winning wine list.”

What’s most rewarding about your work?

“I get to interact and meet people from all walks of life and create an environment which has the combination of great service backed up with fabulous food in a casual yet sophisticated setting. I’m extremely passionate about food and wine and all the excitement the hospitality industry offers.”
