What does success mean to you?

Waking up every morning filled with gratitude that I love what I do and get to share my passion. I love being my own boss! The flexibility is invaluable and allows me to create space for things that bring me joy: my rescue pugs, getaways with my husband, and quality time with friends and family. Success is being able to say no to the things that don’t serve my highest purpose, and success is also being able to unplug and go on that much-needed vacation!

Why are you considered a go-to person in the community?

I grew up in Manhattan Beach and have lived in the South Bay most of my life. My roots run deep. By understanding my audience, I know exactly how to best serve my clients. From small touches like edible gold flake and matching florals on our grazing tables, I make sure the food and presentation are elevated and beautiful—just like the South Bay.

What inspired you to pursue a career in hospitality?

After I graduated from high school, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. I felt apathetic toward college. A friend suggested culinary school since I was always entertaining—having big dinner parties and cooking for friends. On my first day of class, I knew I had found my footing and that the kitchen was where I was meant to be.

Tell us about your team.

My team is simply outstanding! They support me during the long hours prepping in the kitchen, and they carry that energy over to our events. It speaks volumes that they are so willing to take on new projects. I constantly get compliments about how personable and professional they are. They help me drive my business forward. How lucky is that?
