Actors Barbara La Marr and Lewis Stone prepare for a scene in the 1926 silent film The Girl from Montmarte, shot on location at La Venta Inn. With her untimely death at 29, it would be La Marr’s final screen appearance. The inn became quite the playground for Hollywood’s elite during the 1930s, attracting stars like Errol Flynn, Tyrone Power, Bob Hope, Betty Grable, Cary Grant and Gloria Swanson to the Peninsula.
