PROVIDENCE LITTLE COMPANY OF MARY SAN PEDRO
What started in 1909 as a seaside community hospital located in the Civil War-era Clarence Hotel ultimately became Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in San Pedro. In 1925, local physicians and business leaders opened San Pedro General Hospital on Sixth Street. Today, we hold the distinction of being the South Bay’s first Primary Stroke Center certified by the Joint Commission. Our Acute Rehabilitation Program has been recognized among the top one percent in the nation, we hold a Baby-Friendly Hospital designation and are recognized for one of the best behavioral health programs in Southern California.
