Wild Ones

Kids fashion that’s stylish, durable and designed in the South Bay. Way cool!

Local dad Paulo Goncalves watched his kids tear through their playclothes like they were going out of fashion. “Unfortunately the options are limited when it comes to youth apparel that performs and also looks cool,” he says. So Paulo did what any innovative, caring father would do in this predicament: He made his own.

Creator of the men’s contemporary fashion brand Bespoken, Paulo and his family relocated from New York back to the beach to start Heroes & Hooligans, a new line of kids sportswear. Mixing trends with tough, the collection blends performance-based fabrics (moisture-wicking, antimicrobrial, UPF) with fashion-forward looks created by artistic collaborators. So even if your kid may outgrow the outfit, the outfit won’t outgrow the kid.
